Affiliate marketing is one of the simplest ways for complete beginners to start generating income online.
There are tons of products and services online that you can promote, but I prefer to promote products and services that are on networks and marketplaces, because it gives me more options to choose from and makes it easier to get payouts quicker.
See, for most affiliate programs you generally need at least $100 in order to be able to cash out, so if you’re just starting out, that may take awhile to achieve. But if you’re promoting several products on a marketplace like JVZoo and you’ve made several $5, $10 or $20 commissions for multiple products, it makes it a lot quicker and easier to get payed out on a regular basis.
Now, don’t overthink affiliate marketing, because it’s not that hard and you don’t have to be some master marketer or salesperson in order to make thousands of dollars per month.
All you have to do is recommend and suggest great products, that you’ve probably already bought yourself, and that’s it.
You do however, obviously need some traffic to make money though. You can do this either with paid ads such as Facebook, building up a audience and following on places like YouTube or Instagram, or create a website and generate free organic traffic from search engines. SEO is how I generate most of my affiliate commissions.
